Development One provided swift emergency assistance immediately following a 7.2 earthquake on April 5, 2010. Using Deve
lopment One’s company plane, we quickly arrived at the facility and performed a structural assessment of the damages to this two-story building.
Work on this government project included reviewing 1970 structural plans, and the 1995 seismic evaluation and geotechnical hazard studies reports. After reviewing the documents, Development One then conducted site investigations, testing, and a survey.
The conclusion was that the overall structural integrity of the building was safe to be occupied and operated, though it suffered some localized structural and cosmetic damage by the earthquake.
Development One went on to prepare construction documents for the repair of this building.
