Fire Station Renovation – Air Force Research Lab, Edwards Air Force Base, CA

Station No. 4 at Edwards Air Force Base is located in a remote corner of the base at the Air Force Research Laboratory. This station performs the special duty of hazardous material response.  it is the only HAZMAT response team in the area, providing services as far as Bakersfield.Fire Station Renovation

This DOD project consisted ofa fire station renovation and expansion, including:

  • Bunk rooms
  • Dining area
  • Restroom facilities
  • ADA Upgrades
  • Asbestos survey

Development One, Inc. provided  A/E for the project. First, we conducted a survey including the complete review and field verification of existing facilities. In addition, the firm performed a review of existing dimensions, utilities, mechanical systems, and ADA. Finally, we completed a hazardous material assessment/survey.

This renovation project  involved more work than a new facility would have required,  due to the unknown information on the existing facility. Development One completed the project on schedule, and with exceptional performance reviews.
