Repair Flight Line Access Roads, NASA AFRC

Development One performed a project to repair flight line access roads at NASA’s Armstrong Flight Research Center.

Elements of the project:

First, the design called for a portion of existing asphalt pavement to be fully removed, disposed of, and replaced. We then overlaid and slurry sealed other areas.
In addition, we designed all new asphalt paved roads and parking lots to be matched to existing alignment, street widths, and layouts.
As per requirements, we protected all existing hand holes, vaults, manholes, valve wells, and survey monuments.
Finally, all new asphalt pavement is sloped toward existing storm drain facilities to drain.
