It was a night to remember for all, as Dick Rutan, pilot of the Round-The-World Voyager flight, wowed the crowd with stories of his dangerous and precarious flight.  His talk was an entertaining mix of adventure and humor, which kept the crowd entertained.

In addition, Mike Machat, aviation historian, noted artist and curator of the Museum of Flying in Santa Monica, shared some fascinating facts about the Apollo mission. Finally, Tim Russ, actor, director, musician, and passionate astronomer, also shared entertaining comments.  Tim, who is best known for his role as Lieutenant Commander Tuvok on Star Trek “Voyager,” graciously accepted the 2018 Howard Hughes Memorial Award for Dr Aldrin.
